Manufacturing Engineer

  • • Design and develop advanced Global manufacturing processes for Rubber & Polymet factories, using DFM, SMED, VSM and other tools to optimize the process • Design and calculate lifting tools – global materials, standardize manufacturing processes – global process • Develop and update standard processes by types of products • Develop PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) for selected products, and implement actions across Global processes • Develop material handling and automation projects, including feasibility analysis, research of solutions, concept design, proof of concept, specification development through RFQs, business case & ROI development, integration supplier selection, technical reviews, project & budget management, and solution qualification and recommendation for action • Design and develop error proofing devices (error detection and error prevention) to improve process robustness • Investigate, lead, manage and run Global manufacturing process development -Select and run projects to continuously improve safety, quality and to reduce costs -Continuously search for potential to improve manufacturing -Ensure permanent change when implementing new methods by establishing the standards for line organization and acting as knowledge owner • Analysis of OEE at different manufacturing units to develop process optimisation solutions to address production losses systemically, new tooling development and realization

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering • Minimum five years of experience in mechanical/manufacturing engineering, product/tool design work or equivalent • Minimum three years’ experience in continuous manufacturing, automotive industry background a plus • Solid manufacturing processes theory knowledge • Solid knowledge of LEAN manufacturing, concepts and tools, OEE knowledge and experience • Fluency in English language is mandatory • Engineering tools: 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor preferred), PDM/PLM (Siemens Teamcenter preferred) • Advanced quality tools knowledge. Six Sigma / statistical methods is a plus. • Design for Manufacturability (DFMA, DFA, DFS, DFT, DFL) • Risk mitigation tools knowledge (FMEA, Control Plans, Tooling Plans, etc.)
